Successful Fire Damper Test
In June 2020, Wozair undertook an IMO 2010 FTP Code, A class deck test, on one of its ‘MFD’ fire dampers. The fire damper test was necessary to extend the type approved range of our product to cover damper sizes supplied to and installed by one of our customers, in buildings on the TCO project, Kazakhstan.
The fire damper test model was constructed in stainless steel 316L and operated using an electric actuator. It had an internal duct size of 1500 mm x 1500 mm.
The test was performed at Applus Laboratories and due to travel restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the test was witnessed remotely using live stream video.
We are pleased to say that the damper successfully passed test stability and insulation integrity for the 60 minutes test.
We are now able to offer A-60 rated deck fire dampers up to the following maximum sizes: 2500 x 1220 mm and 1500 x 1500 mm (internal width x height).
